Guwahati: The Assam Director General of Police (DGP) announced on Tuesday that 24 police personnel have been dismissed from service since February 2023.
DGP Gyanendra Pratap Singh stated that these dismissals spanned different ranks and occurred within a period of approximately 5 months.
Taking to Twitter, Singh wrote, “In pursuance of the directions given by the Honorable Chief Minister at the time of assuming the office of the present @DGPAssamPolice & Head of Police Force of Assam, @assampolice has dismissed twenty-four (24) police personnel of different ranks since February 1st, 2023 till date.”
