Sonapur: The 1st Battalion of SSB Sonapur, Assam, organized several welfare initiatives across various locations. As part of the Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024, under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,’ a plantation drive was conducted at sites including Manipur Ayushman Ayogya Mandir, ASTC Bus Stand Nalbari, and the BN Headquarters in Sonapur. A total of 400 saplings were planted.
Additionally, Veterinary Civic Action programs were held at Damuea Maj Gaon and Damdhua Khatae village in Morigaon, where 108 animals were treated, benefiting 42 owners.

The battalion also hosted a medical health checkup camp at the Unit Hospital in Sonapur, in collaboration with specialists from GNRC Hospital, Guwahati. The camp, which featured Dr. Gautam Rava (Orthopaedics & Arthroscopy) and GNRC representatives, provided valuable healthcare services to force personnel, their families, and local villagers.
