Guwahati: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati, observed World Meditation Day today under the theme “Meditation for Global Peace and Harmony.” The event highlighted the importance of meditation in promoting global unity and inner tranquility.
The session was inaugurated by K.N. Mohan, Scientist-G and Head of RMC Guwahati, who expressed his satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation of the Centre’s officials in meditation practices.
C. Amarnath, Scientist-D and a certified instructor of Heartfulness Meditation under the Ramachandra Mission, Hyderabad, led the relaxation and meditation session. The session focused on achieving global peace, unity, and harmony through meditation techniques.
Dr. Sanjay O’Neill Shaw, Scientist-F, concluded the program by emphasizing the relevance of meditation in modern life, particularly in managing stress and fostering a balanced lifestyle.
