Guwahati: In connection with National Road Safety Month 2025, a three-day refresher training program for drivers of hazardous goods vehicles from IOCL and HPCL concluded in Guwahati on January 24, 2025. The program was organized by the Transport Department and witnessed participation from over 500 drivers.
Senior officials, including DGM (IOCL), DGM (HPCL), the Safety Manager, and the Depot Manager, attended the event. Awards for the best drivers of the last quarter were distributed, recognizing their commitment to safety.
The event also featured an eye and general health checkup camp for the drivers, emphasizing the importance of their well-being alongside road safety. The initiative aimed to improve safety standards and create greater awareness among drivers handling hazardous goods.
