Summer Cricket Camp Concludes Successfully in Guwahati

Guwahati: The 18-day Summer Cricket Camp, organized by Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) under the Assam Cricket Association, concluded at Judges’ Field, Guwahati. The camp, which took place from 9th July to 26th July 2023, aimed to hone the basics of cricketing skills among young cricketers.

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Ranjinder Singh, Former Ranji Trophy Captain of Assam and Joint Secretary of Assam Cricket Association. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Singh emphasized the importance of such Summer Camps in nurturing young talent in cricket.

Devajit Saikia, General Secretary of Assam Cricket Association, appreciated the dedication of the budding cricketers who attended the camp. He also extended gratitude to the coaches, Rajkapoor Yadav and Abhijit Das, for conducting the camp with great intensity.

A total of 73 budding cricketers from different affiliated clubs of Guwahati Sports Association participated in the camp, including 26 girls. The young cricketers were presented with participation certificates by the Chief Guest and respected office bearers of GSA.

The Closing Ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Amiya Kr. Kalita, Treasurer of GSA, Hemant Singh, Vice-President of GSA, Kajal Paul Choudhary, Joint Secretary of GSA, Babloo Choudhary, Assistant General Secretary of GSA, and Sajjad Zaheer Hussain, Assistant General Secretary of GSA, among others. L. Pranab Singh, Sports Secretary (Football) of GSA, was also present to witness the successful conclusion of the camp.
