Guwahati: Assam’s handloom brand Sereki has launched a new campaign inspired by the scenic River Island of Majuli. The campaign celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Assam, showcasing the elegance and craftsmanship of the Mekhela Sador.

Through this campaign, Sereki takes viewers on a journey across Majuli, highlighting the island’s traditions, serene landscapes, and daily life. The story follows three young women exploring Majuli, witnessing traditional raakh by the Brahmaputra, learning about the Xatras, and experiencing the island’s renowned mask-making art.

As the day unfolds, the women cycle through narrow paths, relax by the river, and play with local children, reconnecting with the simplicity of life. As the sun sets, they rush home, leaving behind the peaceful charm of Majuli.

Sereki’s co-founder Anuksha Khargaria expressed the brand’s vision behind the campaign, stating that Majuli’s essence perfectly complements the grace of Assamese handloom. She emphasized Sereki’s commitment to preserving Assam’s artisanal heritage while incorporating contemporary designs.

The campaign aims to bring the beauty of Assam’s culture to a wider audience while promoting the timeless appeal of the Mekhela Sador.
