Guwahati, 21 May : The Commissioner of Police’s office issued a prohibitory order on Saturday, aiming to prevent any groups or organizations from staging protests, demonstrations, or shouting slogans within the any part of Guwahati Police Commissionerate.
This order, Section 144, is implemented to maintain peaceful public movement, traffic flow, and normal activities for residents in the city.
Accordingly, the Commissionerate of Police prohibits the assembly of five persons, processions, and shouting of slogans throughout the entire Guwahati area, which encompasses the three Police Districts of the Police Commissionerate.
