Jorhat: SBI General Insurance has launched a relief and recovery initiative for flood-affected families in Assam in partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation and Ayang Trust.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is distributing fresh and nutritious hot meals to flood-affected families in Jorhat district.
Through Ayang Trust, SBI General Insurance is also supporting the distribution of essential relief kits to 1,000 households in Jorhat, Sivasagar and Charaideo districts.
The relief kits include bed sheets, blankets, plastic buckets with mugs, sanitary pads and essential utensils. The distribution will cover 300 households in Jorhat, 400 in Sivasagar and 300 in Charaideo, benefiting around 4,000 people.
The initiative is aimed at providing immediate food, household and hygiene support to families affected by the floods and helping them during the recovery period.
