Guwahati: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the sacred Maa Kamakhya temple today on the Nilachal Hills, offering prayers at the end of the Ambubachi Mela.
Amid the spiritual atmosphere of the temple, Sonowal expressed that every visit to Maa Kamakhya brings him renewed strength and inspiration to serve the country with greater dedication.
Speaking to the media, he said, “I pray for peace, happiness, and prosperity in everyone’s lives. May Maa Kamakhya continue to bless us all in the days ahead.”
The Ambubachi Mela, one of the most important spiritual gatherings in Assam, draws lakhs of devotees each year, and Sonowal’s visit marked a graceful end to the holy festival.
