Guwahati: Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has arrived in Guwahati on Thurseday with his family for a seven-day private tour of the Northeast.
Accompanied by his wife Anjali Tendulkar and daughter Sara Tendulkar, the cricket icon landed at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and immediately left for Meghalaya.
Sources say the Tendulkars will spend two days in Barapani, a scenic tourist destination, before returning to Assam on April 7.
During his Assam visit, the Master Blaster is scheduled to explore the Kaziranga National Park on April 7 and 8, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its one-horned rhinos. He is also expected to visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered shrines.
Tendulkar and his family will end their Northeast tour on April 10, flying back to Mumbai.
Although the trip is purely personal, the presence of the cricket legend has sparked excitement among fans in Guwahati and across the region. Many are hoping to catch a glimpse of their beloved “Little Master” during his stay.
