Guwahati: A person from Bamun Moran Gaon village in Gourisagar, Assam, was arrested by the police for allegedly making a death threat against Cabinet Minister Atul Bora. The arrest was prompted by a directive from Assam’s Director General of Police, Gyanendra Pratap Singh, to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after a threat was posted on social media, hinting at an explosive threat to the minister’s residence. The user, identified as 31-year-old Nip Pratim Baruah, was traced and apprehended during a CID investigation.
