Guwahati: Famous singer Padmanav Bordoloi will conduct a special Vocal Masterclass in Guwahati on 3rd and 4th July, in collaboration with the NERIM Group of Institutions, Jayanagar. The training will be followed by a cultural evening ‘Malhar’ and certificate distribution ceremony on 5th July.
The masterclass is open to participants aged 5 to 35 years and will be held in two groups – Beginner (Foundation) Course and Advanced Course. Sessions will run from 12 PM to 4 PM, focusing on vocal techniques, performance tips, and preparation for national singing competitions like Indian Idol and SaReGaMaPa. Only two batches will be trained to ensure individual attention.
Padmanav Bordoloi, a well-known singer from Assam, is a former finalist of Indian Idol and SaReGaMaPa. He is trained in both Hindustani and Western classical music, and is also a composer and performer.
Speaking about the event, Padmanav said, “Assam has a lot of talent. I want to help young singers grow with proper training and confidence to perform on big stages.”
The 3-day event will end with a cultural evening on 5th July, where students will perform live and receive participation certificates.
