NorthEast United FC Defeats Hyderabad FC 4-1 in ISL Match

Guwahati: NorthEast United FC secured a dominant 4-1 win over Hyderabad FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season. With this victory, NorthEast United completed a league double over Hyderabad FC.

The Highlanders took an early lead in the 17th minute when Guillermo Fernandez scored after a defensive mistake by Hyderabad FC. Just before halftime, Alaaeddine Ajaraei doubled the lead with a powerful free-kick.

In the second half, Hyderabad FC tried to fight back, and Manoj Mohammed scored in the 70th minute to reduce the gap. However, NorthEast United responded quickly, with Asheer Akhtar heading in a goal in the 79th minute. Mohammed Ali Bemammer sealed the win with a stunning long-range strike in the 89th minute.

NorthEast United FC’s defense remained solid, preventing Hyderabad FC from creating many chances. Midfielder Mohammed Ali Bemammer was the standout performer, contributing both in attack and defense.

NorthEast United FC will play against Odisha FC on February 3, while Hyderabad FC will face Mohammedan SC at home on February 8.
