Guwahati: The E-Commerce website for the brand “NEEV” was officially launched on September 14, 2024, at Arista By Ambition Hotel, GS Road, Guwahati. The brand aims to empower women and skilled weavers from Assam and the North East, bringing their handloom and handcrafted products to a global market.
The launch event was attended by prominent figures like ACS Officer Jharna Patgiri, Regional Director of the Indian Chamber of Commerce Ishantor Sobhapandit, celebrity chef Atul Lahkar, Sagorika Sarmah, Shyamal Kumar Bhattacharjya, Dr. Vasavvi Acharyya, Sharmishtha N. Paliwal, Divya Siotia and many other dignitaries.
Founder Reetuparna Sarmah shared, “NEEV’s goal is to fill a gap in the market by merging traditional craftsmanship with modern designs, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for artisans.” The event celebrated the brand’s efforts to promote ethnic textiles and craftsmanship from the North East.
