Goalpara: A tragic incident of man-elephant conflict occurred on Tuesday night in Goalpara, Assam, resulting in the death of a man and severe injuries to two women.
The victim, Gajendra Barman, was trampled to death by an elephant near the Ambari area of Lakhipur. The elephant, searching for food, attacked Barman and his family as they tried to chase it away.

Tulsi Barman and Sonmani Barman, both related to the deceased, sustained severe injuries and were rescued by locals. They are currently under medical observation.
