Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve Launches 2023-24 Tourist Season

Kaziranga : The Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, renowned for its population of one-horned rhinoceros, kicked off its much-awaited tourist season for 2023-24 on Sunday. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of State Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary.

Festivities marking the occasion included river tourism at Bhomoraguri beat office, environmentally focused tours led by women at Mihimukh, the Kaziranga cycling event from the Kohora Convention Centre, and the Jeep safari. Notably, elephant safaris were temporarily suspended from May 1, and Jeep safaris from May 16 earlier this year due to the monsoon season.
