Indian Army Opens Open Air Gym for Locals in Manipur

Manipur: The Indian Army opened an Open Air Gymnasium on November 26, 2024, in Phougakchao Ikhai Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district. This new gym, built under Operation Sadbhavana, aims to encourage fitness and meet the long-standing needs of the local people.

The gym has modern outdoor fitness machines, including an Air Walker, Double Elliptical Trainer, Chest Press machines, Shoulder Press machines, and Sit-Up Trainers. It provides locals with the tools to stay fit and healthy while promoting an active lifestyle.

Around 150 residents, including the Village Chief of Phougakchao Ikhai and leaders from nearby villages, attended the opening event. The Army also organized fun activities for the community, making the day even more special.

This initiative shows the Indian Army’s commitment to supporting local communities. By building fitness facilities, the Army helps residents lead healthier lives and fosters development in the region.
