Guwahati: A team from Bharalumukh Police Station conducted a search at a rented house on MS Road, Athgaon, acting on a tip about suspicious individuals. The search revealed two individuals, Devkaran Sen and Manoj Kumar from Rajasthan, present on the premises.

Assam Merges Class 10 And 12 Boards Into Unified Entity

During the search operation, a considerable amount of Indian Rupees stored in two bags was discovered. When questioned, both individuals were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the source of the cash. Following the discovery, the Income Tax Department was notified, and their team arrived to count the recovered money, which amounted to Rs. 1,69,70,000. The Income Tax team is now actively pursuing further inquiries to determine the source of this significant cash sum.
