Guwahati: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the fifth edition of the India-Japan Intellectual Conclave, Kizuna, in Guwahati. Organized by Asian Confluence in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan and the Ministry of External Affairs, the two-day event brings together experts and policymakers from both nations.
Dr. Sarma highlighted India-Japan’s historical ties and growing economic partnership, emphasizing Assam’s potential in green energy, tourism, IT, and infrastructure. He invited Japanese investors to Advantage Assam 2.0 and stressed collaboration in semiconductors, renewable energy, and precision engineering.
Japanese Ambassador ONO Keiichi, senior officials, and industry leaders attended the event, focusing on strengthening ties and investment opportunities between Japan and Northeast India.
