Traveling from Guwahati to Prayagraj or Ayodhya has become expensive, with flight ticket prices reaching international levels. A quick check on ticket booking platforms shows that one-way fares are now over ₹20,000.
Many travelers from Guwahati are struggling to book affordable tickets. A resident planning to visit the Kumbh Mela said, “The prices are too high, making the trip difficult.” Another traveler added that train tickets are also unavailable.
Due to the large number of tourists and devotees heading to the Kumbh Mela, demand for tickets has increased sharply. As a result, flight fares have surged. However, these prices may change based on availability and booking platforms.
The Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, is being held at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj and will continue until February 26, 2025. With Prayagraj more than 1,200 kilometers away from Guwahati, the high travel costs have made the journey difficult for many devotees.
