Guwahati : Jorabat police in Guwahati apprehended two individuals for being in possession of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN). This action followed intelligence information about FICN activities, leading to a raid at 14th mile, Jorabat.

The two arrested individuals have been identified as Md. Abdul Kadir from North Lakhimpur and Samir Uddin, also from North Lakhimpur. During the operation, law enforcement recovered FICN amounting to Rs. 2 lakhs, all in Rs. 500 denominations, as well as three mobile phones.
Necessary legal procedures are currently underway in connection with the case.
