Of the total passengers, 1.48 million were domestic travelers, while over 15,000 were international. LGBIA processes over 500,000 passengers monthly, with Bangkok being the most traveled international destination and New Delhi topping the domestic list.

The airport currently offers services to four international destinations—Paro, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok—and 28 domestic destinations, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.

LGBIA is undergoing significant infrastructure enhancements to accommodate this growth. A new Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) is under construction and is expected to be completed by mid-2025. Spanning over 1.5 million sq ft, the terminal will handle 13.1 million passengers per annum, improving passenger experience and operational efficiency for airlines.
