Fire Safety Week Concludes at Marwari Hospitals with Awareness and Prize Distribution

Guwahati: The closing ceremony of International Fire Safety Week was held on Monday at Marwari Hospitals with a focus on awareness, preparedness, and community participation. The programme was attended by several dignitaries and hospital officials.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Mukesh Agarwal, retired Special DGP-cum-Director of Fire and Emergency Services, Assam. Among others present were hospital President Sarat Kumar Jain, General Secretary Kishore Kumar Saboo, Treasurer Manoj Agarwal, and Joint Secretary Manish Khatuwala.

The programme began with a welcome address by General Manager (Operations) Kamala Singh Das, followed by an address from General Secretary Kishore Kumar Saboo. A felicitation ceremony was then held in honour of the Chief Guest, conducted by the President of the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of fire safety awareness in institutions like hospitals and stressed the need for regular training and preparedness to handle emergency situations effectively. The President of the hospital also addressed the gathering, highlighting the institution’s commitment to safety and public awareness.

As part of the week-long observance, various competitions such as poster-making and quizzes were organized to engage staff and participants. The winners of these events were awarded prizes during the closing ceremony.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Hospital Superintendent Rohit Upadhayay, followed by group photographs of the dignitaries and staff, marking the successful end of the Fire Safety Week initiative.
