Guwahati: Two drug peddlers were arrested by the city police in the Rupnagar area on July 31. The arrests were made during a search operation conducted by a team from Central District, led by ADCP Central. The apprehended individuals were identified as Sharungbam Prem Kumar Singh (35 years) and Faridul Hassan (22 years).

During the operation, the police recovered 9 packets of suspected brown sugar, weighing 101 grams. They also seized 4 mobile phones and a brown-colored Hyundai Verna with registration number AS 01 BB 6326.
Necessary legal action is being taken against the arrested individuals.
