Dr Gayatri Gogoi, associate professor at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) and adjunct researcher at ICMR–Regional Medical Research Centre, North East, has been awarded the prestigious Blackbuck Pioneer Researcher Award for her contributions to cancer research.
She received the honour in Delhi during the Research Summit organised by Medical Dialogues and the National Medical Forum. A jury of leading medical experts, including former ICMR Director General and senior faculty from Maulana Azad Medical College and PGI Chandigarh, selected her for the award.
Recognised for her excellence in both research and patient care, Dr Gogoi has published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to multiple medical textbooks, and completed eight major research projects. She is committed to translating laboratory findings into clinical solutions for cancer patients in the Northeast.
Quoting her, “Research is not just about academic achievement, it’s about improving patient outcomes.”
