Guwahati: The Public Works (Roads) Department (PWRD), Assam, has announced a temporary night closure of the Chandmari Flyover for bearing replacement and maintenance work.
According to an official notification, the flyover stretch between Guwahati Commerce College Point and Chandmari Point will remain closed from 10 PM to 6 AM on October 13, 15, and 17, 2025.
During this period, traffic will be diverted through alternative routes, including Rajgarh–Pub Sarania Road, MT Road–Bamunimaidan Railway Colony Road, Mathgaria–Noonmati Road, and Krishnagar–Milanpur Road.
Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow traffic diversions. The PWRD said the maintenance work is crucial for ensuring the structural safety and longevity of the flyover and assured that efforts will be made to complete the work within schedule to minimize inconvenience.
