BSF Increases Security on Indo-Bangladesh Border

Guwahati: In light of recent developments in Bangladesh, the Guwahati Frontier of the Border Security Force (BSF) has heightened security along the Indo-Bangladesh border. A high alert has been declared, with commanders directed to maintain vigilance and readiness.

The Indo-Bangladesh border spans 4096 kilometers, with 509 kilometers under BSF Guwahati Frontier’s jurisdiction, stretching from Cooch Behar in West Bengal to South Salamara Mankachar in Assam. Eleven BSF battalions and one water wing are now on high alert, with increased surveillance at all Land Custom Stations (LCS).

Manpower at border outposts (BOPs) has been boosted, and all surveillance equipment is fully utilized. Sub-units are instructed to maintain high vigilance and readiness. Enhanced intelligence operations ensure real-time information on threats. The BSF continues its crucial role in maintaining national security.
