BRO Conducts Outreach Exchange Programme at Pasighat

Pasighat: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) conducted an Outreach Exchange Programme under Project Brahmank at Pasighat in Lower Siang district from September 1 to 6. The initiative was aimed at strengthening engagement between BRO, civil administration, academic institutions, and youth.

As part of the programme, BRO teams visited Arunachal Pradesh University, Apex University, and Rashtra Raksha University, while faculty members, researchers, and students from these institutions visited Project Brahmank headquarters. The participants were briefed on BRO’s role, projects, and engineering capabilities through presentations, screenings, and equipment demonstrations.

Around 120 BRO personnel and nearly 80 faculty members and students took part in the interactions. The events were supported by Deputy Commissioner of Pasighat, Sonalika Jiwani, IAS.

Col Ashish Raisinghani, Officiating Chief Engineer of Project Brahmank, said that the initiative would strengthen the bond between BRO and local communities and also encourage youth to consider careers in the organisation. He underlined BRO’s contribution to infrastructure development in Arunachal Pradesh and its commitment to welfare activities like medical camps, cleanliness drives, and skill development.
