Shillong: Bank of Baroda has inaugurated a new Phygital Branch in Shillong, Meghalaya and a Regional Stressed Assets Recovery Branch (ROSARB) in Guwahati, Assam.
The new Phygital Branch in Shillong has been launched to provide customers with a mix of digital banking services and personal banking support. The branch includes self-service banking facilities along with customer assistance to offer faster and modern banking services.
The ROSARB branch in Guwahati has been opened to strengthen the bank’s stressed asset recovery and resolution system in the Northeast region.
Both branches were inaugurated by Lal Singh in the presence of Shiba Pada Nayak.
B.D.R. Tiwari, Commissioner and Secretary of the Government of Meghalaya, attended the inauguration programme of the Phygital Branch in Shillong as a special guest.
Several senior officials of the bank, customers and local residents were also present during the inauguration programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Lal Singh said the new branches reflect the bank’s focus on innovation, operational efficiency and customer-centric banking services.
The bank said these initiatives will help strengthen its presence in the Northeast and improve both banking and recovery services in the region.
