Jorhat : A police officer in Jorhat was caught taking a bribe on July 30 by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) in Assam.

The officer, identified as Sub Inspector (UB) Pranab Nath, serving at Jorhat Sadar police station, was trapped by the DVAC while accepting Rs. 20,000/- from a complainant in return for offering relief in a criminal case.
