Assam Govt to Allow Free Entry to All Guwahati Parks from December 1

Guwahati — Assam Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah announced that all parks in Guwahati will offer free entry to the public starting December 1.

The decision comes after a massive public response to the newly opened Guwahati Riverfront (Sati Radhika Shaanti Udyan) in Uzan Bazar.

The minister said visitors must collect an entry pass, but no fee will be charged. People will only need to provide their name and phone number for the pass.

Mallabaruah also said the GMC and GMDA will frame new guidelines to prevent littering and anti-social activities inside the parks, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all visitors.
