Guwahati: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya delivered a speech on the 76th Republic Day at Khanapara, Guwahati, extending warm greetings to the people of Assam and the nation.

In his address, the Governor honored Assam’s rich history and cultural heritage. He paid tribute to iconic figures like Srimanta Sankardev, Madhavdev, Lachit Borphukan, Kanaklata Barua, Bishnu Prasad Rabha, and Bhupen Hazarika. He urged citizens to remember their sacrifices and work towards peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.

The Governor highlighted Assam’s progress in various sectors, including law enforcement, infrastructure, social welfare, and economic growth. He commended efforts to improve education, healthcare, and rural development, which are helping to transform the state.
