Guwahati : Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha, inaugurated the new Assam Assembly Complex on July 30.
“The new building of Assam Legislative Assembly was inaugurated in Guwahati. The Assam Legislative Assembly has always worked for the welfare of the citizens. It is hoped that this new building will prove to be a new power center for fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people of Assam,” said Om Birla.
The Chief Minister of Assam, along with cabinet colleagues and members of Assam Legislative Assembly, were present at the event.
Opposition Unites In Assam To Address BVFCL Closure Concerns
CM Sarma said, “Located in the heart of Guwahati, the Vidhan Sabha reflects the cultural legacy of Assam. Adorned with a glass ceiling, wood, a Shikhar at the top, Vrindavani Vastra, and other such materials, it stands out as a landmark of democracy.”
