Kaziranga: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over 20 inflatable rubber boats to Kaziranga National Park’s Forest Protection Force at a function in Bagori Range on wednessday. This move aims to strengthen patrols and combat poaching and encroachment.
In June, during a safety review meeting, the Forest Protection Force requested new patrol boats. These boats were delivered in less than 60 days in response to their needs.

Later, Dr. Sarma inspected the Hatimura Embankment breach at Kaliabor. He expressed satisfaction with the repair work, completed in 26 days despite challenges from strong water currents. Dr. Sarma noted that all embankment breaches in Assam are now closed.
