Guwahati : Another water pipe burst in Guwahati on June 20. This time it happened in the Noonmati area of the city. According to the information received, the incident occurred in Sector 2 in Noonmati area this afternoon. The situation is now under control, and the water supply has been fixed.
Guwahati Jal Board tweeted that “This is to clarify to all concerned that the pipeline in question does not belong to Guwahati Jal Board. It is learnt that the pipeline belongs to IOCL.”
Recently, a newly installed water pipe burst at Rajgarh Road near Commerce College Link Road.
In the last month, a water supply main line pipe burst in the Kharguli area of Guwahati. The burst resulted in a large amount of water rushing out, causing damage to houses and sweeping away several vehicles.
Sadly, one person named Sumitra Rabha lost her life in the incident. She was a resident of one of the houses that suffered damage due to the water rush.
