Guwahati: Eminent tribal leader Manoj Rabha, also known as Drishti Rajkhowa, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today during a large joining ceremony held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, the BJP’s Assam headquarters.
The programme took place under the leadership of State BJP President and MP Dilip Saikia, in the presence of Assam BJP in-charge Harish Dwivedi, Cabinet Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Organizational General Secretary G.R. Ravindra Raju, along with several senior leaders.
Along with Manoj Rabha, many other well-known personalities from different sectors of Assam also joined the BJP. This includes Manoj Dhanowar, former Aam Aadmi Party state president, and Arjun Chettri, Vice President of Assam Gorkha Sammelan, among others.
Welcoming all the new members, BJP State President Dilip Saikia said, “BJP is a family open to all who want to serve the nation. We are happy that strong and committed leaders like Manoj Rabha have joined us today.”
Saikia also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for their strong leadership and said that Assam is moving fast on the path of development.
With the joining of Manoj Rabha (Drishti Rajkhowa), BJP hopes to strengthen its connection with tribal communities and further its mission of development and unity in Assam.
