Aikyatan to Celebrate Golden Jubilee with Two-Day Cultural Event in Guwahati

Guwahati: Aikyatan, a progressive socio-cultural organisation founded in 1976 by Pabitra Kumar Deka, Udayaditya Bharali, Nitya Bora, Anil Deka and others, is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee with a two-day commemorative programme on February 13 and 14, 2026.

The event will be held at the New Art Players Auditorium, Guwahati Club, located on Dipok Kumar Barthakur Road, Guwahati–1.

As part of the celebration, an 80-minute cultural programme has been scheduled, featuring a short pantomime performance by Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Moinul Hoque. This will be followed by a short mystery play titled ‘Ayurekha’, written by eminent litterateur Sourav Kumar Chaliha and directed by noted filmmaker Prodyut Kumar Deka.

The cast of the play includes Anupam Arindam Goswami, Atanu Kashyap, Rakesh Ranjan Das and Amal Chakrabarty.

The programme will commence sharply at 5:15 PM. Entry to the event is free and open to all. Aikyatan has extended a cordial invitation to theatre enthusiasts and members of the public to attend and grace the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
