Romen Borthakur demanded an immediate resolution to the flood problem, reminding Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma of his election promises. He criticized Minister Ashok Singhal, stating, “If there is a flood due to water coming from Meghalaya in Guwahati city, it is the responsibility of the state government to prevent the flood.”

Anurupa Dekaraja called for the resignation of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. Along with Borthakur and Dekaraja, AAP leaders Saurav Kalita, Praveen Sharma, and Jeetu Deka, among others, waded through the floodwaters to assess the situation and support the affected residents of Rukminigaon.
