Guwahati: The makers of the Assamese feature film ‘Rador Pakhi’ (Morning Sunshine) have announced the release of the film’s title song, “Rador Pakhi”, on December 18. The announcement comes after the film received praise at several national and international film festivals, including Indian Panorama 2024 at IFFI.

Dr Bobby Sarma Baruah has directed the film. Rador Pakhi is inspired by the real-life journey of writer Sarmistha Pritam. The story follows Jyoti, a young woman from Assam who dreams of becoming a writer. Doctors diagnose her with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at a young age. Despite serious physical challenges, she fights to live independently and follow her dreams.

The makers of the film have earlier won two National Film Awards (Rajat Kamal) and several international awards for their past work.

Popular singers Rupam Bhuyan and Deeplina Deka have sung the title song “Rador Pakhi”. Rupam Bhuyan has also composed the music, while Pranjal Kumar Mahanta has written the lyrics. The song reflects the spirit of the film, showing hope, strength, and the start of a new day.

Talking about the song, director Dr Bobby Sarma Baruah said music plays an important role in telling the story. He said the title song shows Jyoti’s emotions, her pain, and her inner strength.
