Dr. Alekhya Barua from Kangspora Satra, Titabar in Jorhat, has dedicated his life to keeping Assam’s Sattriya culture alive. From a young age, he was deeply connected with this tradition and later became a well-known artiste and cultural leader.

Dr. Barua has won the Best Actor award more than five times at the All India level. In 2002, the Government of India gave him a National Scholarship for his research on “Scientific Traditions and Bhaona.” He is also a skilled player of the Khol and Tabla, spreading the rhythm of Assam’s music.
