Shillong: The Raj Bhavan, Shillong, celebrated Pre-Christmas and New Year at the Durbar Hall, with Governor C.H. Vijayashankar as the Chief Guest. Families of Raj Bhavan staff and various church fellowships joined the event, adding to the festive spirit.
The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances and carol singing by students, the Assam Regimental Centre, and Harmini Preparatory Music Academy. In his address, the Governor highlighted the values of togetherness, compassion, and harmony during the festive season.
The event also included gift exchanges, a feast, and the felicitation of meritorious students from staff families, spreading joy and unity among attendees.
