Guwahati: A tragic accident in Kahilipara, Guwahati, claimed the life of Jitu Hazarika, a 38-year-old local resident, on Monday evening. Hazarika was riding his scooter to pick up his child from a coaching class when an electric pole suddenly fell on him, resulting in his immediate death.
The incident has sparked serious concerns about public safety and the maintenance of infrastructure in the area. Local residents have blamed the accident on substandard work by the electricity department.
Hazarika, who lived in Lok Bandhu Nagar in Kahilipara, leaves behind a grieving family and community.
