Chirang : A free eye check-up camp was held at Runikhata on the Indo-Bhutan border in Chirang district of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The camp was organized through the initiative of Dr. Sangrang Brahma, Secretary of the Assam Football Association and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to BTR Chief Pramod Boro.

The camp provided eye examinations and necessary treatments to around 500 residents of the area. Dr. Sangrang Brahma emphasized the importance of such initiatives, noting that many individuals from poor and lower middle-class families often lack access to medical care due to economic constraints.

“The purpose of this camp is to ensure that everyone receives the medical attention they need, regardless of their financial situation,” said Dr. Brahma. He also announced plans to organize more free eye check-up camps in the BTR area in the near future to continue supporting the health needs of the community.
