Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on Thursday held a press meet to brief on preparations for the India-West Indies second ODI, scheduled at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati, on September 30.
ACA President Taranga Gogoi, Secretary Sanatan Das, Vice President Romen Dutta and Apex Council Member Mukutananda Bhattacharjya attended the press meet.
Gogoi said Guwahati is entering a new phase in hosting major cricket events and highlighted the city’s growing importance as an international cricket venue. He also acknowledged the support of BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia in facilitating major cricket events in Assam.
Both teams are scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on September 28.
The West Indies team will hold its practice session at the ACA Stadium on September 29 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, while the Indian team will practise from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The ACA said preparations are underway for the smooth conduct of the international fixture.
