Guwahati: An Instareel competition has been announced to commemorate the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna awardee Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika during 2025–2026.
The theme of the competition is “Life, Works and Enduring Legacy of Dr Bhupen Hazarika.” People aged 16 to 45 from anywhere in the world can participate.
Participants can submit a maximum 30-second reel in any language, but English subtitles are mandatory. There is no registration fee, and the last date for submission is October 15, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
The reel must be original and self-created. AI-generated content and copyrighted material are not allowed. Participants can use only the 27 songs of Dr Bhupen Hazarika approved by the organisers.
The Best Reel will receive ₹2 lakh, while the second and third prizes are ₹1.5 lakh and ₹1 lakh respectively. Fifteen consolation prize winners will receive ₹25,000 each.
Participants must upload their reel on Instagram and submit the Google Drive link through the official Google Form.
