Guwahati: The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura organised the Destination Tripura – Investors’ Roadshow in Guwahati on May 7 at Vivanta Guwahati ahead of the upcoming Destination Tripura: Business Conclave 2026.
The programme was organised to promote investment opportunities in Tripura and strengthen business partnerships within the Northeast region. Industry leaders, entrepreneurs, financial institutions and investors from different states participated in the event.
Speaking through video conferencing, Kiran Gitte, Secretary of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura, said the state government is working to create a business-friendly environment through policy reforms, simplified procedures and faster approvals. He said Tripura is emerging as an important investment destination in the Northeast.
Deepak Kumar, Director of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura, highlighted investment opportunities in sectors such as IT, healthcare, tourism, food processing, renewable energy, bamboo, rubber and manufacturing.
The event also included presentations, discussions and meetings between investors and government officials.
According to organisers, the roadshow received strong response from investors, resulting in more than 58 Letters of Intent and MoUs with proposed investments worth over ₹1,322 crore across different sectors.
Officials said the roadshow has helped build momentum for the upcoming business conclave to be held in Agartala.
