The 51st Inter District Weightlifting Championship took place from October 13th to 15th, 2023, in Golaghat. Over 350 players participated.

MLA Biswajit Phukan inaugurated the event, and in the closing ceremony, the best lifters were awarded. Bedabrat Bharali and Gulap Gogoi from Dibrugarh won in the men’s section, while Aisengfa Gogoi, Panchami Sonowal, and Popy Hazarika were the winners in the women’s section. Charaideo and Dhemaji were the top teams in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
