1st Battalion Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Guwahati recently conducted a joint mock exercise on Rail Accidents and Response at the Bongaigaon Yard of Rangiya Division of Indian Railways. Led by Shri HPS Kandari, Commandant 1st Bn NDRF, the exercise showcased exemplary coordination among NDRF, ART, and other participants in disaster management.
The mock drill simulated a major train accident, allowing the rescue teams to demonstrate their preparedness and efficiency. The role of NDRF received high praise from railway officials and spectators, who recognized their commendable efforts in the exercise. The event concluded with a call for more such exercises in the future, aiming to enhance the response capabilities during railway accidents or disasters and ensure the safety of precious human lives.
