Guwahati: A 29-year-old resident of Kahilipara, identified as Akash, was allegedly killed by his friends during Magh Bihu at Dakhingaon in Guwahati. Police have arrested all four accused involved in the incident.
According to officials, the group was consuming liquor by the roadside when a scuffle broke out under the influence of alcohol. During the altercation, one of the accused allegedly pushed Akash onto the main road, where a speeding vehicle fatally struck him.
The police are investigating the incident further, while the arrested individuals are being held in custody.
