Guwahati: The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced that certain sections of MG Road at Bhoothnath and Machkhowa will be temporarily blocked due to the ongoing construction of a new flyover. The flyover is scheduled to be inaugurated by the end of this month.

To facilitate the construction work and ensure safety, traffic restrictions and diversions will be implemented in some portions of the main road starting from February 19. These measures may result in traffic congestion along MG Road.
Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and consider taking alternate routes wherever possible. The Guwahati Traffic Police urges cooperation from the public to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize disruptions during the construction period.
